Cynthia Carol Brucker, loving wife, mother and grandmother, passed away on Wednesday June 10, 2020 in Goodyear, Arizona at the age of 69.
Cynthia was born on September 7, 1950 to Perry and Bernice Brown in Inglewood, California. She was the youngest daughter of five sisters.
She is survived by her husband Joseph Brucker, daughters Kimberly May and Laurie May, and her five grandchildren, Breanna DeGeorge, Madison Sagastume, Dustin DeGeorge, Jaden Sagastume and Hailey DeGeorge. She leaves behind her beloved dogs, Duke, Cupcake, Gizmo and Tinkerbell.
Cindy, or also knows as “Cinky” grew up in Orange County California with her parents and four older sisters. They were known as the “Five beautiful Brown girls” for each sister was blessed with beauty. Cindy was born with one blue and partially brown eye. This aspect of her was very unique and beautiful. Cindy loved animals, her first pet was a goose that followed her everywhere. Even until recently she was online actively looking to help out any dog that needed adoption. She sometimes joked that she liked animals more then humans at times. Cindy had lived in four states during her lifetime. Her favorite place she lived was her parents birthplace in Arkansas. She loved the years her and her husband, Joe, had shared on their 15 acres of beautiful land. She loved watching Joe mow the grass on his tractor on the weekends and going four wheeling, canoeing down the buffalo river or fishing in their boat, and ending the day sitting on their back porch enjoying the views and birds together. Joe and Cindy had fun dancing and singing together to the Beach Boys. Cindy was so excited and proud to go back to college in her 50’s and finally finish all the credits she needed to earn her Bachelors in Science for Human Resources. During Joe and Cindy’s marriage they became grandparents together to five grandchildren. It became more important for them to live closer to them, so they packed up and headed to Goodyear Arizona in 2011. Cindy was a loving grandmother to her five amazing grandkids. She would watch them after school and help them with their homework and she prided herself in them as they meant so much to her. As a mother, she was always someone we could easily talk to and ask for advice without ever feeling judged. She saved every card and sentiment that was ever given to her and she was a lover of life. She was strong, witty and smart and her laugh is something we are all going to miss.
Cynthia Carol Brucker will be forever in our hearts. We will be holding a celebration of life on Saturday June 27, 2020 at 1:00 PM at the Thompson Funeral Chapel in Goodyear AZ. We will be gathering to share some of our favorite memories, our stories, to laugh and to cry and to remember the wonderful life she lived. Family and friends are welcome to join in her memory. A luncheon following the service will be held at the Brucker residence in Goodyear, AZ.
Thank you so much for everyone who showed their love and support during this difficult time for our family. We are so thankful for those who came to our moms service during the COVID concerns. As a family we didn’t want the COVID virus to stop us from celebrating our beloved Cindy's life. We appreciate all the beautiful flowers that were delivered to Cindy's service and know many of you who could not be there were there in love and spirit.
A special thank you to all our parents: Our Mom Cindy, Papa Joe, our Dad Larry and Grandma Susie for showing their daughters and grandchildren a legacy of how to live as examples to each one of us. We are blessed to have an amazing blended family and to be able to enjoy family celebrations and functions through the years due to their shared love for their daughters and grandchildren. This shared love has allowed us to be a united family and has been a very rare and beautiful thing for our family to experience and live by. Thank you Mom, Dad, Papa Joe and Susie for being the best parents and grandparents we could ever have. XOXO Kimberly May, Laurie May, Breanna DeGeorge, Madison Sagastume, Dustin DeGeorge, Jaden Sagastume and Hailey DeGeorge
